FAQs
Do I need the PoE for Starlink Mini?
No. The Starlink Mini has DC-to-DC power out of the box so there is no need for a power conversion. However, the Starlink Mini does not provide native telemetry over DroneCAN that you might need for vehicle integration or control.
How can I mount the Starlink PoE onto my vehicle?
Our Starlink PoE device offers flexibility in mounting options:
- The device includes four M3 0.5mm mounting points that allow you to create your own mounting bracket to secure it to your vehicle.
- For a more integrated solution, we offer the option to design a custom enclosure or bracket tailored to your specific vehicle requirements. Schedule a call with us to discuss your needs for a seamless integration.
Is the Starlink PoE durable enough for harsh environments?
While our current Lightweight Starlink PoE device is designed for reliable performance, it will not hold up well in wet or dirty environments. The good news is that we’ll be announcing a ruggedized version soon that is designed to meet the demands of even the harshest environments.
